Liz Hafner

Liz stumbled across the wonderful world of tourism, hospitality and events when she moved to far north Queensland in her early 20’s.  It was there she discovered her passion for the industry, quickly learning how to pour the perfect beer to make a living! And eventually working her way up to the management team at a restaurant.

Liz relocated back to Hobart in late 2009 and commenced work at Moorilla Estate, which is now better known as Mona.  She was involved in the grand opening of Mona and moved into the Functions Manager role soon after the gallery had opened.  Liz worked with both association and corporate clients in delivering their events at Mona.  Liz was also a part of the events team for the Mona Foma festival and Exhibition Openings.

In 2014 Liz moved into a Business Development Manager role with Business Events Tasmania, where she focussed on attracting business events to the state.  Whilst this was an amazing opportunity she missed the ‘buzz’ of a good event!  In mid-2016 Liz joined the team and Conference Design.

Over the last five years, Liz has worked with varying clients, working on conferences from 150 – 1000 people, across many different industries.  Liz is passionate about delivering memorable and successful events and values her client relationships.

Liz has a young daughter, Mabel and is also a fur mum to Miss Monte!   In her spare time, she enjoys catching up with friends and family and enjoying everything Tassie has to offer!
